Hi, My wife has had some root planing done, and I thought the cost was rather high - $2500 and they didn't do the front, which now they say need to be done at a cost of $3500.
I also don't like this particular dentist because he is always telling my wife she has beautiful eyes and suggesting they go to lunch someday. She's not about to do that, of course, but I think this is highly unprofessional and makes me suspicious overall.

If your wife needs only scaling and root planing, our fee is $260 per quadrant. If all 4 quadrants need scaling the fee would be $1040. For the fee that was quoted it seems like she may have needed more extensive work than just scaling. Please contact our office if we can be of further assistance.

Thank you so much for contacting our practice. It is very difficult for me to tell you whether or not you paid too much for the root planing your wife received. I can offer her a complimentary consult with Dr. Patel and review of her pre-gum therapy xrays, if you can obtain a copy. Dr. Patel would then be able to tell you approximately what the investment would be in our office for the root planing and you can compare.
